Cotton garments are widely sought after for its unsurpassable qualities. It is comparatively cheap, easily available durable and best for skin as per the recommendation of medical science. The origin of cotton is supposed to be in India during the existent of ancient 'Sindhu' civilization which had set place  3000 BC. The high quality cotton products are very expensive in comparison to other fabrics like polyester and other artificial products in vogue. The world statistics states that there are more than four millions of handlooms employed in weaving cotton fabrics but instead of this hand woven cotton products and handicrafts are still an integral part of the market unanimously. Although the mechanized spinning machines and new textile technologies has taken over the traditional method of processing of cotton fabric or clothes yet the presence of hand spinner and weavers manifests that still their work are liked and there is a place for their products in the market owing to which the art has been surviving up to this day and age.

CHINTZ:
This is a multicolored texture printed especially on the glazed cotton fabrics. This pattern was widely practiced in India, China, Japan, Philippines and also in other parts of the world. The variegated clothes looks attractive and other advantage for the buyer is it's costs very low. This type of clothes are not only  worn by the regional people of the place where it is manufactured but it is exported to other countries too. The cotton clothes are colored and printed by many natural dyes and pigments.

SATRANJI:
It is one kind of cotton carpets which are made in Indian since the medieval age. Archaeologists says this was used as for playing chess as the chess board. The carpet is strong, soft and durable. People prefer this product because it is washable and relatively light weighted from the jute and coir product. The weavers of satranji works very laboriously to design new pattern and eye catchy color combination to full fill the demand of the customers. This products are available in all cotton producing countries.
