Ivory was put in to use deriving form the jungle or some where on
the planet. It might be laying over the surface of the earth worthlessly.
Perhaps it was after the death of an elephant ivory was found. But in course of
time, when the giant was kept as pet or domestic animal, their master had
ruthlessly exploited the brute by cutting the ivory. The art of carving and
sculpting was in full fledge in the prehistoric day. People had developed the
sense and curiosity for art yet. Ivory was considered as a precious thing in
the early days. It was used for making beads and ornaments for the people of
eminence. By passage of time it was employed for making novelties and
decorative items. People were thinking it as a status symbol because only rich
people were able to decorate their habitants with the accessories made of
ivory. Now-a-days, Ivory trafficking is prohibited by the governments of
several counrtries because the species is endangered because of the
materialistic human beings who have been taking advantages of the nature and
its creatures since the day he had treaded on the world.
