Stitching and Patching

Appliqué and patch works over textile and leather goes under a particular procedure to look much finished and beautiful too.  This type of needle work is practiced in many parts of India. Phulkari is another kind of patch work which are practices in the north western part of India. The work is generadone  with dire concentration and  exhaustive labor. the artists sew and darn thlly under taken by the women. This is one handed percent hand crafted  product e clothes etc. in different shapes and size of patches over the clothes placing it over the  substances either vertically, horizontally or diagonally

Embroidery,  and appliqué are the elaborate works act upon the fabrics, leather to create ornamentals productions like garments, footwear, wall hanging and home furnishing. The works are meticulous, back bending and extensive work which takes lots of care and patience for the job.

Embroidery starts with the design drawn over the cloth or leather outlined for leading the work  correct and uniformly. Then the needle work begins with various stitches sewing over the materials with different colors and contour. A variety of needlework like "Chikan" shadow work, open work, knot work are under take by the craftsman which have been traditionally perfected from generation to generation. The stitches also differs from places to place  'Bagh ', 'Phulkari' and 'Kasauti' are some of the well known works. This work is also done over leather to produce many graceful items

Appliqué is a patchwork. It also done over  fabrics like cotton, silk and others. Darning the clothes with vibrant colored cut pieces of fabrics incised in speckled sizes of  birds, animals and flowers. Even the images of god and goddess are stitches over the fabrics.
