Knitting and Lacing

Suturing and joining are the handiworks acted upon the wool strands or fiber of jute and helix of coir. The kitting and lacing are done by knitting rod. The fibers are entwined using simple tools made of metal or alloys to entangle the threads easy and quickly.

Coir, jute and grass are used for making tough rough and tough fibers which are applied for making abrasives. Coir is treated by merging it in the water for a long time after which it becomes soft and smooth. then it is used for making mats, carpet and others. Similarly jute is cleaned and twirled into yarns for producing garments, abrasives, durries and accessories. Grass are processed for knitting beautiful items like carpets mats and screens for home furnishing and decoration.
